St. George School

Started in 1896, the Archdiocese of Ernakulum-Angamaly has touched the lives of millions for more than a century. With over a hundred years’ of experience in education and other realms of life, the Archdiocese caters to the spiritual, cultural and social needs of millions of people in the civil districts of Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kottayam and Alapuzha.

The Archdiocese provides unparalleled service through the constituent churches- around 335 of them, 50 professional and higher education institutions, 21 higher secondary schools, 68 high schools, 76 UP schools, 133 lower primary schools, 174 nursery schools,11 schools for the mentally challenged, 26 hospitals, 25 dispensaries, 20 counselling centres, 34 orphanages, 54 houses for the abandoned, 5 homes for the physically challenged, 36 technical training institutions being operated under the umbrella of the Major Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly.

St. George School is owned and managed by St. George Church Thalayolaparambu as part of its social commitment to provide affordable and quality education to the people of the area. We visualize a citizenry who are at their best in all realms of life. St. George School aims at the intellectual and spiritual refinement of the young through constantly renewed training programs combining advanced techniques with value addition ensuring the ultimate gratification of all its stakeholders.

History

Started in the year 1986 by Rev. Fr. Jacob Elamkuttichira, Vicar of St. George Church Thalayolaparambu. In 1998 the primary school was recognized by Department of General Education, Government of Kerala.  In 2003, the High School was affiliated to the same department. In 2005, the Higher Secondary section was sanctioned by the education department and the school became full fledged with having classes from Kindergarten to Grade XII.

Georgian Kids World

The Kindergarten section functions in a separate child-friendly complex catering to children from Pre-School, Lower Kindergarten to Upper Kindergarten. Its all fun, play, dance, art and music in this pat of the school where children learn through play and games.

High School Complex

The main campus houses the secondary school block. Grades I to X are accommodated in this complex.

Higher Secondary Complex

The latest Higher Secondary Complex accommodates students in grades XI and XII. State of the art laboratories, library and other facilities are provided here. Two science batches, one commerce batch and a Humanities batch are sanctioned by the Government.
